International Day of the Woman

Happy International Day of the Woman! As a woman, business owner, humanitarian, photographer, daughter, sister and aunty, I wanted to take a moment to honor all the women who I’ve had the opportunity to meet and learn from. Each of you, whether I’ve met you from near or far, has had an impact on my life in some way. It might not have the been a lesson I learned right away, or knew the reasons our paths initially crossed, but I want you to know that it is important to me and I valued our time together. Whether a few fleeting moments on an international trip, or through a deep-seeded friendship, I honor you and only want to lift you up to your greatest potential.

World Lion Day

Today is World Lion Day and in honor of the African lions I have been honored to see in the wild, I put together a collection of images I’ve captured from the past 2 years on visits to South Africa, Kenya and Botswana. These pictures were captured at properties such as MalaMala Private Game Reserve and Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp, both of which I highly recommend if you choose to go on safari with me in the future. Of course no trip like any of these would be possible without the planning and organization of outfitter extraordinaire, Dare to Explore. National Geographic Travel: Featured Instagram of the Month

Some of you may know I made a recent trip to Zion National Park and partook in one of its iconic features, hiking The Narrows. For many years I had heard about The Narrows from friends who made the short 2.5 hour trip up to Zion from Las Vegas. But it wasn’t until last year that I made my first journey to Zion, and returned just last week at the invitation of my friend Nancy. If you’ve followed along on Instagram, you may have noticed a few of my posts from Zion, one of which was chosen today to be the Featured Instagram of the Month on National Geographic Travel! I’m hugely honored to be chosen, especially since Nat Geo Travel receives hundreds of images to choose from each month.
